Busta Rhymes Brings J Dilla’s Production to Life

Busta Rhymes has a long history of making movie-style music videos, and he’s doing it again. Since dropping Dillagence II in August, with beats from the late J Dilla, Busta is back with a new video for the standout track “Back Pain, Chest Pain, Head Pain.” Benny Boom directs alongside Busta’s alter ego, The Dragon, with Spliff Star by his side.

The song is a traditional Busta Rhymes banger, and the nostalgic J Dilla beat hits different. Busta first previewed it back in 2022, and it’s now one of the standouts on the 19-track album, which also features Lil Wayne, D’Angelo, and Big Sean. The video is part of Busta’s “For Your Consideration” push for Best Rap Performance, so he’s clearly aiming for the Grammys.
