Hip Hop is turning 50. So of course Nas had to be involved along with Mass Appeal to bring a Hip Hop 50 series to Showtime. Nas explained the project to Variety below:
“Hip Hop 50 is a multi-tier initiative, created by Mass Appeal [in partnership with CBS Viacom], and we built this platform to ensure the anniversary of hip-hop is celebrated in a real iconic way, and that everybody should be involved with this,”
Hip Hop 50 will debut later this year and new episodes will run through 2023. Check out the trailer above narrated by Nas.
