French Montana, Rick Ross, and especially Max B continue to build momentum following their recent Verzuz battle, which pulled in strong streaming numbers and reminded fans why their chemistry still works. Now the trio reunites for “Smoking Pt. 2,” the sequel to their 2009 collaboration and one of the smoothest records to drop this year. The track flips Tupac’s classic “Can’t C Me” featuring George Clinton, originally produced by Dr. Dre, while French, Ross, and Max B trade laid-back bars over the soulful production. Since his release, Max B hasn’t wasted any time getting back into album mode, and “Smoking Pt. 2” continues the rollout for Wave Gods 2: Cosmos Brothers.
