“Straight Gin” is produced by Khan, who provides an anthemic, southern-style synth- and horn-driven track for Roach. And atop that production, the song is built around a rowdy hook, with Roach proclaiming, “I’m a straight gin drinking, champagne sipping/ Dope young man, that got a lot of women.” The verses are classic Roach, all cocky wordplay and dirty punchlines, with lines like, “I got my word, my balls, and your girlfriend’s vagina/ If my gin ain’t straight, then I drink it with tonic.” As for the track’s inspiration? “It was just to push sober awareness,” says Roach with a wink, “and promote monogamy.”
