It was nostalgic to watch Missy Elliot perform ‘The Rain’, ‘Hot Boyz’, ‘Get Ur Freak On’, ‘Work It’, ‘Pass That Dutch’, and ‘Lose Control’ at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards before she received the Video Vanguard Award. She had the outfits and all the great dancers for her medley with some incredible production as well as a cameo from Alyson Stoner (3:29 mark).
