The track, which will appear on a forthcoming EP, It Gleams: B-Sides, skillfully matches his tongue-in-cheek lyricism about the status quo with a stirring, violin-sampled beat provided by producer Maker, along with some jazzy vocal accents from Jimetta Rose. “I think the energy and skill that they brought to the table really helped push me as an artist,” says Static. “They really understood where I was trying to go with it, and the execution of the track was better for it.”
