Great news for Hip Hop. Today the committee announced that Jay-Z and LL Cool J will be inducted into the 2021 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. This is LL Cool J’s sixth nomination while Hova gets in after his first nomination. Also joining them in the performer category are Tina Turner, Carole King, The Go-Go’s, Foo Fighters, and Todd Rundgren.
LL Cool J will also get the Musical Excellence Award along Billy Preston, and Randy Rhoads.
The 36th annual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame ceremony will be held at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at 8 p.m. EST. Will air on HBO Max some time this year.
